Built for real-world conditions, the Hi-MO X10 excels in anti-shading performance, low-light environments, and features low degradation rates. Its cutting-edge TaiRay silicon wafer further elevates durability and long-term energy yield, making it a smart investment for any solar installation.
How do you see the future of solar energy in the Nordics, considering climate conditions and market developments?
The future of solar energy in the Nordics is still promising, despite the downturn of the market since mid of 2023. Despite long winters and limited daylight, technological advancements are making solar energy increasingly viable and efficient in the Nordic countries.
Market developments are also driving growth of the solar industry. Governments across the Nordics are implementing supportive policies, incentives, and ambitious renewable energy targets, creating a favorable environment for the transition into renewable energy. At the same time, businesses and households are becoming more aware of the economic and environmental benefits of solar energy, further accelerating demand.
Moreover, the Nordics’ strong commitment to sustainability aligns perfectly with solar energy’s role in reducing carbon emissions and combating climate change. As the region continues to innovate and invest in renewable energy infrastructure, solar power will play an increasingly critical role in the energy mix.
What role do you think distributors play in accelerating the energy transition?
Distributors are vital players in the solar value chain. Their role extends far beyond logistics—they are key enablers of market development and supply chain integration.
They manage complex component sourcing, assess supplier reliability, support product selection, and ensure the timely, stable delivery of high-quality products. Many also provide training and local market education, helping to bridge the gap between advanced technologies and practical implementation.
In essence, distributors are a cornerstone of the solar ecosystem, accelerating the energy transition through expertise, infrastructure, and reach.
How does LONGi work with sustainability and ESG, and what are your most significant achievements in this area?
At LONGi, sustainability and ESG principles are at the core of everything we do. Through technological innovation, we are transforming not just the solar industry, but also how solar itself is produced. Our 'Solar for Solar' initiative ensures that solar manufacturing is increasingly powered by renewable energy, reducing reliance on traditional sources. By leading this shift, LONGi is laying a strong technical and economic foundation for large-scale solar adoption and a net-zero future.
Our commitment to ESG goes beyond compliance. For example, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality in our operations by 2028 and across our supply chain by 2050. We are also the first Chinese company to simultaneously join four major global sustainability initiatives: SBTi, RE100, EP100, and EV100. Several of our manufacturing facilities have earned 'Zero Carbon Factory' certification, reinforcing our dedication to a greener future.
In 2025, LONGi was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Rating, a reflection of our continued leadership in responsible and sustainable business practices. In addition, we are proud to offer industry-leading traceability of silicon materials, with 100% traceability coverage for all new products — ensuring transparency and accountability across our entire value chain.
We are committed to driving the global energy transition while minimizing our environmental footprint and creating lasting positive impact for society.
What are the biggest challenges facing the industry right now, and how is LONGi addressing them?
The solar industry is evolving rapidly, but challenges like supply chain disruptions, shifting regulations, and intense competition remain. LONGi tackles these by investing in vertical integration to ensure supply chain stability, collaborating with stakeholders to shape favorable policies, and driving R&D to stay ahead in technology.
Market education is also crucial - many businesses and homeowners still need guidance on the long-term value of solar. That’s why we work closely with distributors like Light Leap, installers, and end-users, providing training and technical support to simplify solar adoption.
By staying agile and forward-thinking, we aim to not only overcome these obstacles but also drive the industry toward a brighter, more sustainable future.
What advice would you give to companies looking to invest in solar energy and energy storage?
Think long term, not short term. Solar isn’t just about saving on energy bills - it’s an investment in energy independence and a greener future. Work with reliable suppliers, choose high-quality products, and explore integrated solutions like solar-plus-storage. Also, stay informed about local regulations and incentives as they can significantly enhance your return on investment.
How do you view the partnership between LONGi and Light Leap, and how can we create even more value for the Nordic market together?
The partnership between LONGi and the Light Leap team has spanned over 5 to 6 years, built on a foundation of mutual trust and shared commitment to excellence.
